The Q08 fluid head is constructed entirely of metal with the exception of the handles for locking / unlocking the tilt and pan functions which are coated with durable plastic. The 3 "Allen" screws (2.5 mm.) At the base of the tripod must be adjusted and the "washer" that regulates the tilt movement must be removed and turned over (with a 4 mm Allen key). The head I received had some "play" that greatly disturbed the movement from bottom to top and vice versa. It appears as if the manufacturer (at least in the copy I received) had made the countersink of the screw on the wrong side and that during the assembly of the various components (since the cap of the screw must be retracted to allow the insertion of the golden cap and the graduated ring), was mounted upside down. My copy of the head is a production error. Not that bad considering the cost. Just understand what you need to do to avoid unwanted play while filming. If necessary, do the flaring of the washer also on the other side or buy the Andoer A-40 3way model which is more updated or the Q08S version. The Arca Swiss type quick release plate supplied has rubber protections lowered than its metal base. This does not perform the function of a good lock and puts the base and health of the camera / camera you are using at risk. You will also have to change the plate. In photo 1 you can see the necessary modification (without countersink for the "Allen" screw which is currently protruding). In photo 2 you can see the quick release plate type "Arca Swiss" with the 6 rubber protections that cannot be used because they are too low. I do not intend to ask for a replacement of the product, now it works. I will only ask for the replacement of the arca swiss plate. Best regards, Roberto
