Content introduction

To commemorate the 45th anniversary of Moonraker, the 11th film in the 007 series, composer John Barry's original film music will be remastered and re-released as a 2-CD set. Academy Award®-winning composer John Barry continues to bring his creative genius to the Bond series with thrilling, romantic scores, and 007's music has electrified the world. Shirley Bassey returns with her third Bond title song, with lyrics by Hal David. This release is a deluxe version that is more expanded than the previous soundtrack editions and has significantly improved sound quality.

Remixed and mastered from a high-resolution digital transfer of 2-inch tape provided by MGM, this two-CD set is limited to 5,000 copies worldwide. Disc 1 presents the scores in the order in which they were filmed, followed by previously unavailable music, source music recorded for the film, and additional versions of the score's cues. Disc 2 contains the original 1979 soundtrack album and an alternate version of the title track, newly edited for this release.
