By adopting an open-back acoustic structure that does not block the housing acoustically, reflected sound inside the headphones is reduced, making it possible to accurately reproduce the sound field as intended by the creator. In addition, a large area of acoustic register is used in the opening that connects the front and back of the driver unit to optimally control ventilation. Spatial resonance is eliminated to achieve natural and rich bass reproduction with little coloration.
The diaphragm underwent multiple simulations and prototypes to derive a diaphragm shape and corrugations that provide low distortion and high compliance. High reproducibility in the bass range, ultra-high range playback and high-sensitivity playback are possible. In addition, the structure with a duct on the back maintains separation between the midrange and low range, while achieving sufficient volume and quick and tight bass playback.
The ear pads are made of suede-like artificial leather that is soft to the touch and suitable for long-term use. Furthermore, by utilizing the knowledge gained through the development of numerous headphones to date, we have reduced the weight in every detail, resulting in stability and comfort when worn.
The cable is detachable for easy replacement, and has a fixed structure with a screw-type lock ring for secure connection. The ear pads can be replaced by the user themselves. *Replacement ear pads are available as service parts.
The cable plug uses a φ6.3mm stereo standard plug that is widely used in production sites. By using the included plug adapter, it is also possible to connect to a PC, smartphone, Walkman (R), etc. equipped with a φ3.5mm stereo mini jack.
