■Claude Fontaine An American singer-songwriter based in LA who calls himself a French artist. When he visited the long-established record store HONEST JONS in London, he heard reggae for the first time and was so shocked that he fell in love with 60's French Yeah Yeah Pop, Slinky Studio One Reggae, and liminal Brazilian Tropicalia, which led to the creation of Fontaine. Claude Fontane, a captivating diva with sensual beauty and a sophisticated whisper voice, released her first album titled "Claude Fontane" on innovative Leisure, an LA label that has produced artists such as BADBADNOTGOOD, BAMBII, Nosaj Thing, and Jonah Yano. The work was completed with a miraculous ensemble of guitarist Tony Chin, who has played with King Tubby, Lee Perry, and Jackie Mittu, former Steel Pulse bassist Ronnie "Stepper" McQueen, percussionist Iato Moreira, who is known for his participation in Miles Davis's works, and drummer Rock Deadrick, who has backed Ziggy Marie, and it became a hot topic.
