[Using natural "Hokkaido Cedar" for the face plate material] Tree vascular bundles are a collection of long and narrow honeycomb tubes, and when observed under a microscope, you can see that they have a beautiful honeycomb structure.Therefore, wood is often used as an anisotropic material with a high specific strength (strong despite being light) for construction materials.The conventional idea was to create earphones by taking advantage of these characteristics of being "light and strong" as a structural material.On the other hand, SAHP technology requires that the fiber pores of the tree be uniform in order to ensure uniformity in the amount of absorption of the faceplate.Therefore, conifers are generally suitable rather than hardwoods.Since twisting in the fiber direction causes uneven sound absorption, we selected cedar, a tree with excellent elasticity and little twisting.At Maestraudio, we procured and investigated various types of cedar in Japan and found that ``Donan cedar'', which grows in the northernmost part of Japan, is suitable for SAHP.For the MA910SR DC, we borrowed the power of various woodworking craftsmen in Morimachi, Kayabe District, Hokkaido, and selected "Donan Cedar" for the face plate material, and applied a coating that has little effect on the fiber quality of the tree, improving the acoustic performance of the earphone.Ta.
