SME arm base. (Spacer thickness approx. 12mm) Recommended for those using tall turntables such as Garrard 301/401, as well as for those using other turntables, as a spacer and as a countermeasure against bearing vibration. The base itself is compatible with all arms sold by SME. Product numbers 3009 to 3012 and R, SⅡ, SⅢ, IMP, Ⅳ, Ⅴ, and M series. Two types of wood screws are included: M2.7 x 20mm and M2.7 x 25mm. *Since the environmental conditions for installation vary, if the included screws cannot be used, please prepare separately according to the winning bidder's environment. Knife-edge arms, especially at the installation part, are extremely susceptible to unwanted vibrations, or at worst, resonance. The material is press-laminated lead plates between solid rosewood, which suppresses unnecessary resonance while making the most of the natural sound of the wood. Rosewood, like ebony, is a very hard, heavy, and dense wood. It is a very expensive wood that is often used in high-end acoustic guitars. *The tone arm and turntable are not products.
