On-board HCG mode - When the gain is set above 120, HCG mode is automatically enabled, effectively reducing reading noise without losing dynamic range.
TEC semiconductor two-stage cooling system: reduces the temperature difference of the CMOS sensor to 30° from ambient temperature, reduces the generation of dark current, and has very low noise even during long exposures of several hundred seconds. With 14-bit ADC digital-to-analog conversion, it can reach 13-bit dynamic range, which is very suitable for deep space photography.
SV405CC works on Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Chrome OS, and RaspberryPi systems by running AstroDMx Capture. For Windows systems, software such as Sharpcap, N.I.N.A., and TheSkyX are also supported to run on the ASCOM platform using ASCOM drivers.
